Main motorway links to Chester and Cheshire are through the M6, M56 and M53. The nearest airports to Chester and Cheshire are Manchester International and Liverpool John Lennon. Intercity rail services operate to a number of Cheshire towns, including Macclesfield and Wilmslow.  The largest towns in Cheshire yet within easy commute to Manchester are those of Macclesfield and Warrington. Quite contrasting in their differences with Macclesfield being nestled on the edge of the Peak District and having many affluent surrounding villages such as Bollington, Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Mottram and Tytherington. Whereas in Contrast Warrington is heavily industrialised and very much a working class town on the whole.

While Alderley Edge lays claim to being the Champagne capital of Britain, if you are looking for Alderley Edge Houses you can still enjoy a charming village atmosphere. Nestled in between the many restaurants and bars, are boutique shops, traditional butchers/bakers and the monthly Farmers' Market. Alderley Edge is also in close proximity to the town of Wilmslow so there are ample shopping facilities. Very similar in this regard (being nestled next to the town of Altrincham, and having a tendancy to attract the most affluent is the village of Hale. Hale Houses are definitely at the upper end of the market and rightly so as this charming village is truly a delightful place to reside. If you are searching for Lymm Houses or Knutsford Houses you will be able to experience rural Cheshire village life at its finest yet still be within a short trip to Manchester, Liverpool or Chester via excellent transport links.

Searches for Altrincham Houses or Wilmslow Houses are usually confined amongst the most affluent business people or celebrities and sports personalities. That isn't to say there aren't more affordable options in terms of housing in these areas, which for those wanting to benefit from all they have to offer but not necessarily with the budget is excellent news. Macclesfield Houses or Warrington Houses both benefit from living in a Suburban environment surrounded by the Cheshire countryside.
